The LOLIPOP project was represented at OFC 2025 with a poster presentation from CSEM, highlighting recent advances in Thin Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs).

🔍 About the Poster Presentation:

The team shared their progress on developing an open-access TFLN PIC foundry, including:

  • A tested Process Design Kit (PDK) with reliable building blocks

  • High-performance modulators, waveguides, and edge couplers

  • Low propagation loss and high electro-optic bandwidth

  • Compatibility with CMOS-level voltages

  • A standard process on 150 mm wafers with multilayer waveguide and metallization capabilities

The poster also included statistical results from recent fabrication runs, showing consistent improvements in performance and yield.

In addition to the poster, the project’s TFLN modulator was also presented during the conference, showcasing its promising characteristics for high-speed, low-voltage operation.

Stay tuned for more updates as LOLIPOP continues to advance next-generation photonic technologies!
